Rare and much sought after Queen Anne Vigo sixpence. The word "Vigo" below the bust indicates that the coin was made from silver captured from the Spanish at the Battle of Vigo Bay in 1702. Don't let the darker areas on this coin put you off, it is a lovely coin packed with history. Lovely.
