"Gladys"
Gladys was born in 1961 as a saloon. She joined our family
in 1967 and has been with us ever since. She worked hard
as our family car for many years until the strain of it
all became too much and she retired to the garage to rest
for a while.
12 years later she was brought out again and sent to the
world famous Charles Ware's Morris Minor centre in Bath
where she was professionally restored to her former glory.
At this time she took the decision to change her look and
become a convertible, a look that suits her very well. All
of her bodywork has been completely restored and two new
front seats added. The rear bench seat has been restored
and new internal trim added.
The last part of her re-birth has been achieved with the
help of Gill and Alan Cook of Marnhull, North Dorset who
have given her plenty of loving attention ensuring that
her engine continues to run as smoothly as it did in 1961.
Many bits and pieces have been replaced and retuned, but
nothing added or taken away that will change the quintessential
Morris sound.
Gladys is now ready to add glamour and style to your wedding
day. With the top down and the sun out you will be hard
pressed to find a better way of travelling. She never fails
to attract attention and you will certainly enjoy the ride.
