The James II sixpence is a fairly simple and yet elegant coin. They are dated but show no provenance marks. Coins exist in all grades but collectors would pay premium prices for a James II sixpence in Extra Fine condition.
During the reign of James II Isaac Newton's 'Principia' was published (1687), the Glorious Revolution of England began (1688).
